Gross transaction value

The total value processed through a platform under its disclosed transaction perimeter before selected deductions.

This operating measure is not automatically revenue, cash received or profit. The perimeter may include or exclude taxes, cancellations, refunds, delivery, third-party merchants and currency translation. Use the exact issuer definition, period, currency and unit, and keep any derived take rate separately classified.

Why the term matters

Dubaist uses this term with one stable meaning across public profiles, research, events and methodology. That reduces ambiguity but does not make different companies, periods or evidence scopes automatically comparable.

What to check when it appears
