Restatement
A later source that formally replaces or revises a previously reported value.Both versions remain in the evidence history. The active value changes only after the replacement relationship is reviewed.

Why the term matters
Dubaist uses this term with one stable meaning across public profiles, research, events and methodology. That reduces ambiguity but does not make different companies, periods or evidence scopes automatically comparable.
What to check when it appears
Read the adjacent company or security identity, reporting period, unit, scope, source, locator, verification date and publication state. If one required field is missing, keep that boundary visible.
Evidence boundary
This definition explains a classification. It is not evidence that a value, event or conclusion exists for a particular issuer, and it never replaces the cited primary source.
