A conflict is a state
Different values are not averaged and one is not silently discarded. Each candidate retains its company, period, scope, fact class, document version, locator and verification date while the public value is withheld.

Dubaist preserves competing evidence and withholds disputed conclusions until reporting scope, period, document version and authority are reconciled.
Compare like with like
The review first separates consolidated from standalone, quarter-only from YTD, FY from TTM, original from restated and issuer facts from subsidiary or management measures. A classification mismatch is not treated as an economic contradiction.
Resolution requires evidence
An editor may identify the current value only with a source-backed reason such as a filed restatement, correction, later audited document or clearly superior authority. The losing record remains linked rather than deleted.
Public outcome
Until resolution, the interface shows Conflict or unavailable and exposes no disputed number, ranking or recommendation. After resolution, provenance and the correction relationship remain visible.
