Do not overwrite history
A corrected fact does not silently erase the earlier record. The original, replacement, document version, reason and review decision remain linked through an auditable restatement or correction relationship.

How Dubaist handles errors, restatements, conflicting sources and withdrawn public material.
Conflicts fail closed
When two credible sources disagree, both values and their periods are retained privately for review. The public layer withholds the disputed value until an editor determines which source is current and records why.
Removal and re-publication
Published news and events can be reopened, which immediately removes dependent public detail pages. Re-publication requires the complete evidence and translation gates again. Material corrections retain an official source and visible date.
